~Pranosmi~

In Hindu and yoga philosophy, pranosmi is a word that means “I am breath.” The term comes from the Sanskrit prano or prana, meaning “breath” or “breath of life,” and ‘smi, which means “I am.” Pranosmi is found in the sacred Hindu text the Kausitaki Upanishad.

The breath referred to here is the life-force energy of the universe. By repeating this affirmation, the yogi acknowledges that his inner Self is in union with the supreme God or higher Self.
