According to the Audubon Society, owls—specifically, eastern screech owls—will keep thread snakes around as pets. But it’s not exactly like the relationship you or I would have with a cat or dog. Instead, it’s a bit more mutual in nature. Thread snakes—which can’t see, and therefore aren’t entirely aware they’re living in a predator’s den—will eat any insects that wade into an owl’s nest.
