~Former Users Describe Heroin High~

“To be clear, I don’t recommend you ever experiment with heroin or opioids because they are super addictive and run counter to our work.

But it’s psychologically and metaphysically illuminating to read about why people do heroin:

Vice.com – Former Users Describe the First Time They Tried Heroin

The bottom line is: people do heroin because it brings them closer to God, and they don’t know of any other healthy way of getting there. Most of them don’t even know that what they’re connecting with is God. That’s how ignorant the situation is.

God is the greatest high in the world. What do you think monks, mystics, and yogis are chasing? They are heroin addicts minus the heroin.

Once you experience God, no other feeling will satisfy you. And in true going-full-circle fashion, that’s how the best thing in the world becomes the worst thing in the world. Heaven becomes hell. So the wise find ways of reaching heaven without the life-shattering side-effects. It takes more work, but it’s worth it.

P.S. Psychedelics can take you even closer to God than heroin and are anti-addictive. But they will still leave you with the suffering and heartbreak of losing your connection to God after the trip ends. Of course your connection to God cannot ever truly be lost because you are God. But you will lose awareness of this basic fact, sucked back into the Matrix of ego and social obligation.”

~Why You’re An Addict~

“According to research cited by Stan Grof, about 30-50% of substance addicts (alcohol, hard drugs) are really just seeking a nondual experience.

That’s why you’re doing the alcohol or drug. It gives you a simulated pseudo-spiritual experience of unity. It blots out egoic consciousness. But you don’t know this because you haven’t actually experienced real unity, and you don’t yet understand what consciousness is. So you keep hitting that bottle or pipe but it never scratches that mystical itch.

You got the right idea, but you’re going about it the wrong way.

To get drunk on God, your mind has to be ultra-sober. That’s what meditation, pranayama, clean eating, etc. is for. Your mind has to be attuned to the subtle. But you keep feeding it the gross.

Which is also why 5-MeO-DMT, LSD, and Ibogaine prove so effective for hard addiction recovery. They show you the real deal. They show you the subtle.

Which is why Bill Wilson, the founder of AA, included LSD as one of the most important components of recovery. Until of course the government banned it. Ever since, AA has been de-fanged.

If you’re saying to yourself, “Yeah, Leo, but I’m not a drug addict! How does this help me?” Oh, yes you are! You’re just addicted to something a little more subtle or culturally acceptable. Nevertheless, the underlying dynamic with you is just the same. What you seek is nonduality. Because it’s the greatest thing ever. Nothing else is even remotely close. But you don’t know it yet. You have to take my word for it.”

~Addiction Due To Disconnection From A Higher Power~

According to the spiritual model, a disconnection from God or a Higher Power causes addiction. This separation causes people’s suffering because they fail to live according to God’s will or direction. Therefore, recovery consists of establishing or re-establishing a connection with God or a Higher Power. The most prominent example of the spiritual approach is Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and other 12-step groups. Participants practice 12-steps. These 12-steps help people restore their spiritual connection with a higher power.

Poetry {31} ~ MAKING GOLD OUT OF BREAKING CHAINS

We have lost the touch with who we truly are

Insecurities running the show

Flashing lights, temptations lighting up in false glow

Through a world that profits from pain and addiction

Self-loathing, hate and contradiction

Sneaky deals, snakes and manipulation

Upholding the ego consolidation

The world gifts us so much pain

Yet here we are not yet insane

Making gold out of breaking chains

This is the pure reminants of the human resilience of spirit

For one day we shall return to dust

Remembering who we truly are before we loose the scared trust.
